This week Wake Up & Live welcomes back Diane Saliba-Ault, who was a guest last July. Community organizer and Interplay facilitator, Diane will join us to talk about her recent experiences at the US Social Forum in Atlanta, GA (http://www.ussf2007.org/) and the Fifth Women's International Peace Conference in Dallas, TX along with her upcoming trip to Malawi.
Diane will be among 45 American's and several Nashvillians traveling to Malawi the home country of Masankho Banda, a member of Wing It! Interplays performance company in Oakland, California and an Interplay trainer and peace ambassador who's facilitated 12 trainings in Nashville. As Diane says, "We must think globally and act locally." Transferring knowledge cross culturally provides inspiration, wisdom and connection. We've so much to learn from one another. Learn more about interplay and keep up with the trip at interplay.org.
Cecily Friday joins us to discuss the latest maneuvers by the Bush administration and Congress over the issue regarding the firing of the federal judges and who knew what at the White House.
As usual there is an excellent chance that there will be some "percussionary" treats offered up by the house band.
