Spring's here and today's show is filled with seeds of inspiration and restoration. In our first hour we talk with John DeVault author of "Unum: Questions for Reuniting an Indivisible America," (available at lulu.com) and jazz artist Denis Solee about his journey to jazz. Denis has played with Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Sarah Vaughn and many more and now teaches at Blair School of Music aand the Nashville Jazz Workshop. You can catch Denis on Sunday nights here in Nashville at Bistro 215 in Green Hills from 5-8.
At 9:00 our attention turns to local farming, foods and sustainability as we talk with Lisa Shively, editor of Local Table, Nashville's exceptional new magazine supporting all things local, including wine, pastries, pastas and of course farmer's markets. (See www.localtable.net ) We're check in briefly with prior guest Marty Johnson, a localvoire, who committed last fall to eating within a 100 mile radius of her home, Mendecino, CA.
