In hour one we will spin some music and Cecily Friday joins us to dicuss the Iowa primary results.

Then in hour two Joy Jinks joins us. Like so many small towns across the country, Colquitt, Georgia was dying until Joy was compelled to help folks remember who they are through story and song. Named after the stew-like dish indigenous to the area, "Swamp Gravy" entering its 16th year presents stories of universal appeal- stories about family, community, life and death with a cast of over 100 local people. (See http://www.swampgravy.com/)

Designated the "Official Folk Life Play of Georgia", Swamp Gravy revived Colquitt, CA, was a designated cultural event at the 1996 Olympics as well as being selected to perform at the Kennedy Center the same year.

Now the Swamp Gravy Institute in conjunction with the Institute of Cultural Affairs consults throughout the U.S. and abroad to assist other communities in remembering who they really are through storytelling and song. Visit http://www.swampgravy.com/ and http://www.ica-usa.org/ and http://www.icaworld.org/ to learn more and listen in this Saturday as we talk with Joy Jinks about Swamp Gravy as well as her experience of using the process this summer in a Kenyan village.

And listen to various shows at www.seedsthestory.com/wakeup
