This Saturday Ashland, Oregon resident Dr. Ramona Rubio, author of "The Alchemical Woman: A Handbook for Everyday Soulwork" joins us. After much research, she and Dr. Catherine Davidson discovered that hidden within the literal interpretations of the timeless tradition of Alchemy, lie the secret symbolic formulas capable of unleasing the Golden energy within each of us. How is such an ancient tradition important to contemporary women? What Golden energy do you carry? How can you use Alchemy as a practical tool for self-discovery? Be inspired to find your Opus, your life's purpose and begin to live it. (For more on Dr. Rubio and "The Alchemical Woman" go to www.thealchemicalwoman.com )
In our first hour we'll speak with a local Brentwood woman who is definitely living her opus. For 16 years, Charmaine Jamieson has helped Kurdish refugees resettle in Nashville. Since 2005, she has traveled to Iraq assessing needs in schools, dispensing medicine to hundreds of people as well as visiting Internally Displaced Persons camps. Wherever there's a need she goes to work connecting resources with people. More recently she just returned from Hyderabad, India a city of ten million people where poverty is overwhelming. Charmaine's present passion is to find support for a multi-purpose building there to house widows and orphans. Charmaine's aware of the trafficing of children and hopes this might also prevent children from being sold into slavery. She imagines this model being utilized throughout India, Africa, Asia wherever there's need for care for those so often considered outcasts. Those with networking interests may contact Charmaine at cjbthere@aol.com
Join us this Saturday for what promises to be inspirational and challenging as these two women share how they've awakened to their lives. Prior shows archived at www.seedsthestory.com/wakeup
