This week our guest is Bill Gordh. Bill made his debut with the New York Philharmonic last spring at the Young People s Concert. The orchestra commissioned Bill, as librettist and narrator, and composer Jon Deak to create a new work, The Roaring Mountain which had its world premier April 2, 2006. Bill is the storytelling consultant for the Tribeca Film Festival Family Day. He is an educator, musician, recording artist and author. His new book, Stories in Action, published by Libraries Unlimited is coming out in Late April or May 2006. Bill also performed at The White House Easter Egg Roll for the last 3 years of the Clinton administration.

This week we have an interview with Dorie Bolze, Executive Director of the Harpeth River Watershed Association. http://www.harpethriver.org/ Bolze, who has a Master of Environmental Studies degree from the Yale School of Forestry, has worked for over 15 years in conservation and land management policy. She worked for nine years in international wildlife conservation for the Wildlife Conservation Society and other organizations before she and her musician husband, Claude Carmichael, moved to middle Tennessee.

Dorie will discuss the proposed amendment to the State Scenic Rivers Act that prohibits landfills within two miles on either side of a scenic river. This proposed amendment is specifically designed to allow a construction and demolition landfill to be developed at the site of an inactive rock quarry near McCory lane in Bellevue.

His grandfather, Danny Dill is in the Country Music Hall of Fame for writing "Long Black Veil"... His father is a studio musician in Los Angeles.
